]]>A huge thank you to LAFH and all the other sponsors for coming together and making back to school exciting for these kids!
And, if you didn't know, for EVERY shirt you buy, we give one to someone in need.
]]>We're extremely proud of our partnership with LA Family Housing whose core mission is to help people transition out of homelessness and poverty in the greater Los Angeles area. For every t-shirt purchased on www.kiddangerous.com or www.girldangerous.com, we donate a shirt to someone in need. Together with your purchases, we've donated over 5,000 shirts and counting. Earlier this year, we went to one of LAFH's transitional housing facilities and held a donation event that was awesome for everyone involved. Check out the video and for more information about LA Family Housing, please visit their website HERE.

]]>We miss bars. So much.
Sure, we've been getting our cocktails to go, getting ‘em delivered, visiting in limited capacity, supporting however we can. But oh do we miss sitting at an actual bar with our forearms on the pine, our friends beside us and a friendly face behind the stick serving up the libations du jour.
In short, we love bars, we want as many of them as possible to be around after this awful pandemic, and we want to help take care of those friendly faces while their industry weathers the storm.
So this year, we have partnered with InsideHook on a special collab tee to benefit the United States Bartender’s Guild National Charity Foundation. It is an excellent shirt, very comfy, and comes in seven snazzy colorways.
Now, we’re not saying you should only support dive bars. We want you to support all bars. We just happen to really like a good dive bar and it made for a cool looking shirt. That being said, the USBGNCF supports bartenders at all manner of establishments both great and small around the nation, and the entirety of the profits from this endeavor will be going to assist them in their efforts.
So if you’re inclined to take the cost of a few beers and support a cause near and dear to our collective boozy hearts, your patronage is much appreciated — plus you’ll look spiffy in the process, always a bonus.

ORDERS WILL SHIP IN 5-7 BUSINESS DAYS

]]>We've had the pleasure of working with LA Family Housing for a few years now and are really proud of the Buy a Shirt Give a Shirt initiative we started at the end of last year where for every shirt purchased on kiddangerous.com, we donate a shirt to LA Family Housing for someone in need. When the COVID pandemic hit back in the spring and we started making masks, we felt like it was a great opportunity to extend that offer to masks as well. Since March, we've donated several hundred masks to LAFH for their staff and the families and individuals that are a part of the program whose mission statement is to end homelessness in Los Angeles.
For the rest of the year, we look to continue to donate more shirts and masks to LAFH and find new ways to contribute to an organization at the frontlines of the COVID-19 pandemic. To learn more about LA Family Housing or to donate directly, please visit their website at LAFH.org today!

]]>An old adage in the apparel game is that fashion is cyclical. Trends come and trends go and for brands, one door opens while another door shuts. In order to go through the the ups and downs of the cycle, you gotta survive long enough to actually experience them. As we head into our 13th year in business, we're proud to say not only have we survived but we're a better / battle-tested version of ourselves to boot.
The Nordstrom Young Men's Department (formerly known as Nordstrom Rail) holds a special place in our company's heart. At a very pivotal time for Kid Dangerous (2012 - 2015), we grew an awesome business with the Nordstrom Men's team that helped solidify our company for the long haul. We made some great friendships with buyers and enjoyed a lot of success together. Speaking of those damn fashion cycles, the division moved away from graphic tees for a few years, which was definitely a kick to the gut, but something we realized, over time of course, was much bigger than just our brand.
Well, we're happy to announce - WE ARE BACK FOLKS! Excited to be back in Nordstrom Men nationwide and on Nordstrom.com. We've already sold out online (BINGO!) but will keep you updated when we're restocked. For now, we'd love for you to visit any of the locations below and stock up on new Kid D styles. If you buy one of our shirts at Nordstrom, email info@kiddangerous.com a copy of your receipt and we'll send you an extra shirt on the house as a token of our appreciation.
Muchas Gracias, Amigos

In December of this past year, Kid D President Steve Nanino was asked to be a guest on Roman Vela's entrepreneurial podcast: "The Story Behind the Brand". They took a deep dive into the history of Kid Dangerous, current trends in retail and lessons Steve has learned along the way. The podcast was broken up into two episodes. To listen to the episodes, click below:
To read the episode descriptions from "The Story Behind the Brand", see below and thanks for the love!
EPISODE 1 - In 2006, Steve Nanino, CEO of Kid Dangerous and team, saw a need for a brand that was less about the logo and more about a message. That message was edgy, loud, and full of spirit. Full of F-bombs, drug references, and the like, their brand quickly attracted a following, first among friends and later with retailers. But on the business side, they were young and naive and didn't understand what they were getting themselves into but they moved ahead anyway. In Part 1 of our interview, see how Steve and his team, grew a premium graphic tee business. How it started, how it evolved with the market, how they landed retailers, and how they have expanded into women and kids apparel and what comes next. You'll also hear advice for young apparel entrepreneurs and dealing with the ups and downs of running your own business. Listen to this episode and hear Steven Nanino, CEO of Kid Dangerous share the inside story of the building a brand.
EPISODE 2 - How do you evolve your brand? How do you expand into other markets? Steve Nanino, CEO of Kid Dangerous, gives us an MBA level discussion on growing a graphic premium tees business. He shares how they evolved the business into women and kids apparel as well as evolving as business executives. He shares the good and bad of trade shows and why they might not be worth it. He also shares invaluable experience on the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) vs. Retail debate and why some "pure" D2C brands may be missing out on support, customer feedback, and additional revenues. In this episode, see how Steve and his team, grew a premium graphic Tees business. How it started, how it evolved with the market, and how Kid Dangerous is giving back to the community through homelessness initiatives., You'll also hear advice for young apparel entrepreneurs and dealing with the ups and downs of running your own business. Listen to Part 2 of this episode and hear Steven Nanino, CEO of Kid Dangerous share the inside story of the building a brand.
